WONERSH AMATEUR DRAMATICS SOCIETY We recently discovered this footage in our archive. It’s converted from a VHS video tape of the Wonersh Amateur Dramatics Society production of Ali Baba in 1961. Unfortunately there is no sound and the quality is not the best because the original would have been on old 16mm cine film before being converted at least twice. Below the video we have reproduced an article about WADS that appeared in our Autumn 2005 Bulletin. “Ten years have elapsed since Peter Osborne died at the age of 60. At the time of his death the Surrey Advertiser described him as ‘a genius of comedy’. The productions by WADS which he materminded bear that out.
