CAN YOU HELP? Surrey History Centre at Woking have a collection of paintings by the artist John Hassell (1767-1825) who painted local scenes in the late C18th / early C19th, including scenes of Wonersh and its buildings The first painting shown on the site says it is of East Wonersh Court. Wonersh History Society has copies of several Hassell paintings, but not that one, which we are struggling to identify. Does anyone recognise the building named as East Wonersh Court, bearing in mind that it could be outside Wonersh Village but elsewhere in the parish? Any ideas would be very welcome.
